Natural methods at home to clean the water dispenser
Natural methods at home to clean the water dispenser are an effective and safe option for those who want to maintain hygiene without using chemical cleaners. Here is the step-by-step process of cleaning the water dispenser with natural ingredients at home:
Materials
white vinegar
Baking Soda (Sodium bicarbonate)
lemon juice
warm water
A clean cloth or sponge
A clean brush (such as a bottle brush for tight spaces)
clean towels
Steps
Turn Off the Water Dispenser and Drain the Water:
Turn off the water dispenser and empty the water completely from the dispenser. Make sure all the water is drained out.
Disassemble Parts:
Remove all removable parts of the water dispenser (taps, trays, etc.). These parts will be cleaned separately.
Cleaning with Vinegar:
Pour 1 liter of white vinegar into the water dispenser and make sure the inside is completely covered.
Let the vinegar in the dispenser sit for about 10-15 minutes. This helps remove limescale and bacterial buildup.
When the time is up, drain the vinegar from the dispenser tap.
Extra Cleaning with Baking Soda:
Add 2 tablespoons of baking soda to 1 liter of warm water and mix well.
Pour this mixture into the water dispenser and gently brush the inner surfaces of the dispenser with a brush.
Baking soda will help remove any remaining residue and remove bad odors.
Disinfect with Lemon Juice:
Pour half a cup of lemon juice into the dispenser and brush the inside with lemon juice. Lemon juice acts as a natural disinfectant and leaves a pleasant scent.
Let the lemon juice sit for a few minutes and then drain it.
Rinse:
Rinse the water dispenser thoroughly with clean, warm water several times. Rinsing ensures that traces of vinegar, baking soda and lemon juice are completely removed.
Don't forget to rinse the taps, too.
Cleaning Removable Parts:
Soak removable parts in a mixture of vinegar and water or clean them with baking soda. Then rinse thoroughly and dry.
Drying and Reassembly:
Dry the inside and outside of the water dispenser with a clean towel.
Replace the removed parts.
External Surface Cleaning:
Wipe the outer surface of the dispenser with a damp cloth. You can use vinegar or lemon juice to remove dirt from the outer surface.
Reuse Dispenser:
Once the cleaning and drying process is completed, prepare the water dispenser for reuse. Fill the water tank with clean water and turn it on.
These natural cleaning methods not only ensure the hygiene of your water dispenser, but also help you maintain the taste and quality of your water. By doing this cleaning process regularly, you can keep your dispenser hygienic and functional for longer.
